And it makes our bread delicious

With its spicy touch

Music is in the heart of the oppressed

And the slave-born ones

Who find solace and freedom

In the harmonic tones

Of a broody melody

It soars and soars and makes love

With the sensuous sinuosity of the hills

And then it suddenly falls

Down down down

Caressing the winding course of a river

On its journey to the sea

Music is in my heart

When I look at the sky

And get lost in the mysterious trills of birdsongs

And the geometric beauty

Of a dive into the distant blue of your eyes
